The mount hole is oblong from being pushed onto adjuster lever see pictures. Remember, you can paint dye this knob to match your interior.

Correct for Corvettes will work paint to match the knob pushes onto end of seat track adjuster release lever. The knob has been re-dyed at least once, it appears to originally have a white cream color and was dyed black some point.

There are some surface scratch marks, but no gouges see pictures. This is a fairly good original adjuster knob for your Corvette, please look at the pictures below does not have any threads.

The black dye has worn away in some areas, and will need to be dyed match your interior color.
